Jump Desktop 10.15.3#
July 4, 2026
This version changes which USB devices you can redirect. On macOS and Windows, redirecting USB devices other than game controllers, such as styluses, pen tablets, and other HID devices, now requires the Jump Desktop for Teams Enterprise plan. Game controller redirection stays available to everyone, and Enterprise teams aren't affected. Without the Enterprise plan, other device types show an upgrade option in the Devices menu. See USB devices.
Jump Desktop#
All platforms#
- Improved The Codec menu now explains why an option is unavailable, instead of showing a grayed-out entry with no reason.
- Improved With the codec set to Hardware, Jump Desktop now prefers a format your device can also decode in hardware, for smoother video and longer battery life on devices such as iPads.
- Fixed A rare crash shortly after a session ends.
- Fixed Video failing to recover after a decoding error when using Fluid 2.0.
iPhone and iPad#
- New Play with a real game controller. Connect a controller to your iPhone or iPad, connect to the host, tap the tool icon, and select the controller in the new Devices menu. See Game controllers.
- New Play with an on-screen game controller. Turn on On-Screen Controller in the Devices menu for a customizable touch controller with thumbsticks, triggers, and buttons. Use Edit mode to drag the controls anywhere, with separate layouts for portrait and landscape.
- Improved Easier display setup for Fluid connections. Choose between Single Virtual Display and Host Displays, pick a resolution mode, or set a custom resolution, all from the Display menu and the computer's settings page. A one-time prompt on first connect helps you pick the best display setup, and Single Virtual Display now turns on Retina automatically for sharp output.
Jump Desktop Connect#
Mac#
- Fixed An external monitor staying black after disconnecting from a session that used virtual displays on a Mac running with its lid closed.

Jump Desktop 10.13.4#
June 2, 2026
Jump Desktop#
All platforms#
- Fixed Surround (7.1) audio collapsing to stereo on connect. Surround sound now works from the moment you connect, instead of only after changing the audio device.
- Fixed A memory leak during video streaming that could grow memory use over long sessions.
Mac#
- Fixed A rare crash when redirecting a hardware security key (FIDO).
- Fixed A memory leak in the connection statistics overlay.
Windows#
- Improved Hardware security key (FIDO) redirection is no longer offered in Jump Desktop for Windows, because Windows doesn't allow it to work. Redirecting a security key from a Mac to a Windows host still works.
iPhone and iPad#
- Fixed Sessions staying in slower software decoding for the rest of the session after the app returns from the background, instead of going back to hardware video decoding.
- Fixed Korean hardware keyboard typing producing ghost characters and stray deletions.
Jump Desktop Connect#
All platforms#
- New Sign in and attach a computer from your phone. The Add User sign-in dialog has a new Show QR Code button, so you can scan it instead of copying the sign-in link on the host.
- Fixed A memory leak during video streaming that could grow memory use over long sessions.
Mac#
- Fixed Virtual displays being created at an incorrect, oversized resolution that also persisted across reconnects.
Jump Desktop 10.13.2#
May 25, 2026
Jump Desktop#
All platforms#
- Improved If USB redirection can't start because another app is holding the device, a clear message with a Learn More link now explains what happened, instead of a generic error. On macOS, more of these cases are recognized, including devices claimed by helper apps such as the Stream Deck app or Elgato Control Center.
- Improved FIDO and WebAuthn security keys work better over USB redirection. The host now shows the system's standard PIN prompt for your key, and more types of authenticators are supported.
- Fixed Choosing the Fluid codec silently switching you to Fluid 2.0 with older hosts.
Mac#
- Fixed RDP Start in: Fullscreen (all displays) on a multi-monitor Mac showing a tiny window, only one of the host's displays, or your screens in the wrong positions. Your full screen layout is now mirrored on the host.
- Fixed Two crashes when starting an RDP session: one when laying out windows across multiple monitors, and one while the session starts.
- Fixed Jump Desktop becoming sluggish or keeping a CPU core busy when its window is hidden behind a full-screen app, on a closed laptop lid, on a disconnected external display, or in another Space. It now goes quiet while hidden and picks up again as soon as the window is visible.
iPhone and iPad#
- New Lock or release the cursor in one tap with the new Lock Mouse Pointer toggle in Options → Input → Mouse. The iPad menu bar also gains a full Mouse submenu (Show Pointer, Show Circle, Lock Mouse Pointer, Physical Mouse), where previously only Physical Mouse was available.
- Improved Smoother video, lower CPU and battery use, and fewer hangs, from major performance and stability improvements.
- Improved When you switch input methods during a session, the language name, such as "Korean (South Korea)", now appears briefly on screen. This helps on iPad with a hardware keyboard, where iPadOS otherwise gives no sign that you've switched.
- Fixed Several hardware keyboard issues with Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and Pinyin input methods, including stray deletions and garbled characters while composing Korean, Pinyin spaces reaching a host that uses US English, Return adding a new line instead of confirming a conversion, the candidate popup appearing off-screen, and the Option key getting stuck after switching from Korean back to English.
- Fixed Holding Esc not releasing Lock Mouse Pointer, even though the on-screen hint said to use it.
Jump Desktop Connect#
All platforms#
- Improved Launch URLs for a forwarding gateway can now use a hostname, not just an IP address.
Mac#
- Fixed A crash when you shut down your Mac, log out, or otherwise quit Connect from the system.
Windows#
- Fixed Virtual display capture occasionally getting stuck after a display resolution change.
Jump Desktop 10.12.15#

To forward a Stream Deck to the host, first turn it off in the Stream Deck app on your computer (in the app's settings, open the Devices tab, select your device, and turn off Enabled), because the local app otherwise keeps exclusive control of it. Then connect, choose Remote → Devices, and select the Stream Deck.
- Fixed A buildup of stalled screen capture attempts when the Mac is low on memory.
Windows#
- New Text and interface elements on the host appear at a comfortable size without manual adjustment, because the host's display scaling now matches the scale of the computer you connect from.

Jump Desktop 10 Beta 1#
March 2, 2026
The first beta of Jump Desktop 10: faster, more responsive sessions, USB devices and game controllers on the host, and new controls for team administrators.
Jump Desktop#
All platforms#
- New Smoother, more responsive sessions with hardware-accelerated video, which lowers CPU use, reduces tearing, and allows higher frame rates with better frame pacing. Connect uses hardware encoding on Intel and Apple silicon Macs, and on Windows PCs with NVIDIA or AMD graphics. To use it, connect to a host running Connect 10 or later and open Remote → Codec; a Hardware section appears when your device and the host support it. Hardware limits vary, and some combinations don't support every resolution or color format. If Jump Desktop detects a problem with hardware encoding or decoding, it switches to Fluid 2.0, which works on all platforms. To check that hardware encoding is active, turn on connection statistics. See Hardware encoding.
- New Much higher frame rates on capable systems. Choose a frame rate in Remote → Framerate, or leave it on Auto (recommended) to match your screens and the host's displays. See High-performance sessions.
- New Use creative control surfaces on the host, such as Stream Deck, Tangent panels, and other USB HID devices, for video editing, color grading, retouching, and audio mixing. Connect to the host, open Remote → Devices, and select the device. If a device doesn't appear, it may not be a supported USB HID device, or team policy may turn it off; team administrators can allow HID device redirection in the team's Connect settings on the Teams dashboard. See USB devices.
- New Play demanding games on the host with a game controller. Connect to the host, open Remote → Devices, and select your controller. If a game or app captures the mouse, turn on Remote → Lock Mouse Cursor. Controllers also help in apps that rely on precise analog input, such as 3D tools and camera controls. See Game controllers.
Mac#
- New Get the lowest possible video latency with the new Disable VSync option, at the cost of possible tearing.
- Improved Hardware-accelerated codecs reduce latency and CPU use.
- Improved Smarter sleep and wake handling, with fewer failed reconnect attempts during dark wake and better reconnects after wake.
- Improved Multi-monitor layouts stay more stable across restarts.
Windows#
- Improved Hardware-accelerated decoding on Intel, AMD, and NVIDIA graphics reduces latency and CPU use.
- Improved A new native DirectX renderer improves performance by removing extra copying of video.
- Improved Better control in games and apps that capture the mouse, with Remote → Lock Mouse Cursor. See Lock the cursor.
- Improved Much better scrolling in apps such as Blender and Cinema 4D.
- Improved More reliable scaling and rendering on high-DPI and mixed-DPI setups.
iPhone and iPad#
- New On iPadOS 26 and later, session controls are in the system menu bar, with actions reorganized so common controls are easier to find. The old in-session toolbar is still available and can be hidden completely.
- New Fluid 2.0 and hardware codecs are now supported. Choose between software and hardware codecs during a session, where supported.
- New Virtual displays let the session match the exact resolution of your iPhone or iPad screen, or a custom resolution. See Virtual displays on iPhone, iPad, and Android.
- New Framerate and Bandwidth controls are now available during a session.
- New Connection statistics are now available.
- New Choose how long sessions stay active when the app moves to the background, in the new Connection & Background settings. The default is now 10 minutes.
- Improved Pixel-precise scrolling with a physical mouse or trackpad in Fluid sessions.
- Improved Search feels more natural on both iPhone and iPad.
- Improved Better mouse cursor rendering and updated translations.
- Fixed Dialogs and popovers not dismissing correctly.
Mac and Windows#
- New Follow the pointer or stylus more easily with Input Trails, which draw a trail behind it. This can make lag less noticeable on slower connections and makes remote pen, mouse, and presentation work feel more natural. Turn it on in Jump Desktop → Settings → Input Trails on a Mac, or File → Settings → Input Trails on Windows. See Input trail.
Jump Desktop Connect#
All platforms#
- New Get the full performance of a high refresh rate screen. Virtual displays now match your monitor's refresh rate, such as 120, 240, 360, or 480 Hz. The host doesn't need a high refresh rate display attached and can run with no display at all. See Virtual displays.
- New Screen sharing sessions can start in View Only Mode, where the viewer can watch but can't click or type. To allow interaction, click the mouse icon in the HUD.
- New Cloudless Fluid connections now verify the host's certificate. On the first connection, Jump Desktop asks you to verify it, with a View Fingerprint option to check it by hand. See Cloudless Fluid.
- Fixed Stereo audio in 2-channel sessions when the host uses an 8-channel audio driver.
Windows#
- New A virtual audio driver plays sound from hosts without a physical sound device, such as virtual machines. A virtual mouse driver lets the cursor change shape correctly on hosts with no display or mouse attached.
- Improved More reliable high-DPI scaling.
