Limit sign-in duration

Set how long team members stay signed in to Jump Desktop apps. When the time runs out, they must sign in again. Use it to make members sign in regularly, for example every 30 days. It doesn't affect Jump Desktop Connect on remote computers, API tokens, or Teams dashboard sessions, and no duration is set by default.

Applies to

  • Jump Desktop for Teams Enterprise plan.
  • Team administrators.

Set the duration

  1. In the Teams dashboard, open your team and click Security.
  2. In Sign-In Duration, click Set Duration (or Change Duration if one is already set).
  3. Enter the duration in whole minutes. The minimum is 10.
  4. Click Set (or Change).

Result

  • Setting a duration for the first time signs all team members out of Jump Desktop apps.
  • Decreasing it signs out members whose remaining sign-in time is longer than the new duration.
  • Increasing it doesn't affect members already signed in.

When a member's sign-in runs out, Jump Desktop signs them out. Sessions already in progress stay connected.

After signing in again, a member's sign-in lasts for the set duration. If a user belongs to more than one team, the shortest duration applies. Joining a team with a shorter duration signs the user out if their current sign-in lasts longer.

Remove the duration

  1. In Sign-In Duration, click the more menu (⋮) and choose Remove Duration.
  2. Click Remove.

Members who are already signed in aren't affected.
