Join your team and connect#
When your organization uses Jump Desktop for Teams, a team administrator invites you to the team and grants you access to computers. After you join the team and sign in to Jump Desktop, those computers appear in your app, ready for connection. Use this page after you receive a team invite, for example to access your office computer from home or to support colleagues as a member of a support team.
Before you start#
- The invite link from your team administrator, usually sent by email.
- If your team uses single sign-on, your company account and your team's SSO company name. If you do not know the SSO company name, ask your administrator.
Steps#
- Open the invite link and sign in to your Jump Desktop account, or create one.
- Email invite: sign in with the email address the invite was sent to.
- Single sign-on: click Sign in with SSO, enter your company name or email, click Continue, and sign in with your company account.
-
Accept the invite. In Join A Team, verify that you recognize the team name, then click Accept Invite. The team's page opens in the Teams dashboard.
If a dialog shows 2-factor authentication required or Single Sign-On Required, click the button to enable the required setting in Security, then open the invite link again. For instructions, see Manage your Jump account and, to link your account to SSO, Set up single sign-on.
If your administrator adds users through single sign-on or SCIM, you may not receive an invite; in that case, sign in with SSO and continue with step 3. 3. Install Jump Desktop on the device you connect from. See Install Jump Desktop. - On a Mac, install the direct download, not the Mac App Store version; your team's subscription includes the Mac license. - On iPhone and iPad, buy the app from the App Store; the subscription does not include it. - To connect from a web browser instead, skip to Connect from a web browser. 4. Sign in to Jump Desktop with the same account. The sign-in page opens in your web browser; use Sign in with SSO if your team uses it. - Windows and macOS: choose File > Sign In.... - iPhone and iPad: tap Automatic Setup. If your computer list is not empty, tap the settings icon at the top left, then Sign In. - Android Beta: tap Sign In. 5. Find your computers. The computers you have access to appear in the app's computer list. If the list is empty, ask your administrator to grant you access. 6. Connect. Double-click the computer on Windows and macOS, or tap it on iPhone, iPad, and Android. If prompted, enter the username and password for the host (the computer you connect to), not your Jump Desktop account credentials.
Connect from a web browser#
- Sign in at app.jumpdesktop.com.
- Click My Computers, then click a computer. The session opens in a new tab.
For details, see Connect from a web browser.
Check that it worked#
- Your computers are listed in Jump Desktop, or in the Teams dashboard under My Computers.
- Jump Desktop shows the host's desktop.
What your administrator can see#
Team administrators can grant and revoke your access to computers, reset your 2-factor authentication (Jump Desktop for Teams Enterprise plan), and view your sign-ins and connections in Activity Logs and Connection Logs.
