Switch and arrange remote displays#
The Display menu is a session menu for choosing which of the host's displays appear in a Fluid session and how they are arranged in windows. Use it to switch between a host's monitors, view all of them simultaneously, or show each one in its own window on your screens. To create displays sized to your own screens instead, see Virtual displays.

Open the Display menu#

Choose how displays are shown#
To use the host's own displays, choose Host Displays. For presets and virtual display options, see Use virtual displays on Windows and Mac and Use virtual displays on iPhone, iPad, and Android.
On Windows and macOS, the Display menu also contains:

On iPhone, iPad, and Android, when Host Displays is selected, Resolution > Same as Remote Computer shows the host's displays at their own resolution. For other resolutions, see Set the resolution.
Switch between remote displays#
On Windows, macOS, iPhone, and iPad, select a display under Active Displays to show it. Each display is listed with its size, and virtual displays are marked Virtual.
- Cycle Displays (Windows and macOS) switches to the next display. Default shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+Right Arrow (Windows), Control-Command-Right Arrow (macOS).
- All Displays shows every remote display in one window. It appears in single-window mode when the host has more than one display.
On Android, when the host has more than one display, the Display menu lists each display and All Displays.
Use an external display with iPhone or iPad#
Connect your iPhone or iPad to a monitor, TV, or projector to show the session on that larger screen while you control it from your device; for example, to present or to work at a desk.
When an external display is connected, an external display button appears in the session toolbar. Tap it to open External Display. On iPad with the iPadOS 26 menu bar, you can also choose External Display... from the menu bar.

Jump Desktop saves these settings for subsequent sessions.
On iPad, Use External Display takes over the external display; keep it off if you use Stage Manager. iPad also supports several open sessions simultaneously; see Connect to several computers at once.
When you use a virtual display matching your device, turning on Use External Display and Remote Screen Only sizes the remote desktop for the external display instead.
Set the host's display resolution before you connect (Windows and macOS)#
- Right-click the computer and choose Edit (Windows) or Edit Computer... (macOS).
- Select Display.
- Set Display type to Host.
- Set Resolution to Same as Host, Same as Host @ Retina, Match, Match @ Retina, or Fixed.... Fixed... applies the same resolution to all of the host's monitors.

Limitations#
- On Windows, Displays In Separate Windows requires the Jump Desktop for Teams Pro or Enterprise plan. Without either plan, the menu shows Upgrade to use Separate Windows…. On macOS, separate windows are included.
- iPhone, iPad, and Android show the session in a single window. iPhone and iPad can also show it on an external display.
- A Linux Alpha host with a Wayland desktop shows one display. On Wayland, GNOME and KDE Plasma are supported.
- Match Display Resolution works on a Linux Alpha host running KDE Plasma on Wayland: it sets the host's display to the closest resolution it supports and restores the original resolution when you disconnect. On other Wayland desktops, such as GNOME, the host's resolution does not change.
